Forthcoming – Negative Capability Press will begin featuring writers on our website every month. To submit yourself for consideration, follow the instructions on the Submittable link below. Open Manuscript Submissions
Negative Capability publishes approximately 10-15 books per year and an issue of our Journal. Our publishing schedule for 2019 is filling quickly; however, we are always looking for exceptional work. We accept general manuscripts through our electronic submissions portal and welcome you to submit manuscripts for consideration for 2019.
We highly suggest that you take a look at our open calls for submissions and contests first. Next, take the time to familiarize yourself with our press and body of work. Check out our mission statement and see if you feel like Negative Capability is the right fit for you.
Please submit a completed manuscript (.doc or .docx format), along with a brief cover letter that details the work, a bio and any publishing credentials you want us to be aware of.
Why do we charge a reading fee?
The $7.00 reading fee helps offset the ever-growing administrative costs for our independent press.
How long before I hear from you?
Given the high volume of submissions we receive, please expect a response time of three to six months. We appreciate your patience. If your work is accepted for publication elsewhere please take the time to withdraw the submission.
